Sammy Moore interview

Vice-captain on Bradford trip

Sammy Moore says the Dons will be out to prove a point at Valley Parade on Saturday.

In an audio interview for Dons Player, our vice captain says the whole squad are determined to put things right after the 6-2 defeat at Burton Albion.

“We are looking to bounce back and it is a great opportunity for the boys,” he said. “We have to prove what we can do, not only to ourselves, but to our supporters, who made a long journey up to Burton. We owe them a performance and we are going to make sure that we give them that on Saturday. We are hoping we can go to Bradford and nick all three points. We showed what we could do at times against Chesterfield. We have not reached the level we are capable of though and I think now is the time for us to stand up and be counted. It is going to be a difficult place for us to go to on Saturday, but we have a good squad. Stacy Long and Louis Harris are top footballers in midfield and if we can get the ball moving forward to the likes of Jack Midson and Byron Harrison, then we can cause them problems.”

The full interview with Sammy can be listened to on our Dons Player site.
