Another successful auction

18 December 2012

Fundraising event has now raised £20,000

The Silent Auction proved to be another successful event with over £2,000 having been raised after Saturday’s live bidding.

Once all the funds from the 20 lots are paid for and collected, it will mean that a total of £20,000 will have been raised since the Dons Trust started the auctions six seasons ago.

That famous photograph of Vinnie Jones and Paul Gascoigne (signed by Gazza) fetched £300, while a signed photograph of Dave Beasant's 1988 Cup Final penalty save attracted a winning bid of £225. An image of Luke Moore scoring a vital penalty in the play-off final at Manchester, a framed photograph of Neal Ardley on his first day as manager, along with signed shirts from the likes of Jack Midson and Sammy Moore also raised vital funds.

The Silent Auction fundraising team wishes to thank everyone who took part in the event.
