Wimbledon players impress for other clubs

Callum McNaughton has made an encouraging start to his spell out on loan after helping Kingstonian to their second win in three days last night.

The 21-year-old centre-back, who has joined Wimbledon’s ground-sharing tenants for an initial month, made his debut in a 1-0 home win against Bognor Regis Town on Saturday. McNaughton featured once again at the Cherry Red Records Stadium last night as Alan Dowson’s side beat Hendon 2-1.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who has made five first-time appearances this season, struck a first-half equaliser against East Thurrock United, but Dave Anderson’s side were eventually beaten 3-2.

Wimbledon forward Emmanuel Akokhia also played in that match and both youngsters should be involved tonight when Harrow entertain Metropolitan Police at Earlsmead in a Ryman Premier match.

Meanwhile, Christian Jolley is set to feature for Newport County tonight in a televised match against Luton Town with the forward having struck three goals so far since joining the club on loan.
