WDON commentator Rob Cornell caught up with Simon Bassey for an update on his testimonial on Saturday, 4 August.
Simon also provided team news ahead of tomorrow's friendly match at Eastbourne Borough. It will be an important week for Simon after that as he helps prepare the Dons for Tuesday night's visit of Preston North End, followed by his big day of celebration, which involves an exhibition match and AFC Wimbledon versus a West Ham XI.
He said: "It is going to be a fantastic day. We have got 15 former players taking part in the exhibition match now. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for supporters to play alongside the likes of Joe Sheerin, Keith Ward and Jon Main."
