Special offer for Maidenhead

16 July 2012

Offer for Dons supporters

AFC Wimbledon supporters can take advantage of a generous food offer from Bar Sport in Maidenhead for tomorrow night's pre-season friendly.

Wimbledon fan Kareem Naaman, who is Managing Director of the new bar in Maidenhead town centre, is offering 20 per cent off food on the day of the Maidenhead United game. AFC Wimbledon supporters need to either be wearing a club shirt or show a valid match ticket to claim the offer. Bar Sport, located next to the Odeon Cinema, is within easy walking distance of Maidenhead United FC's York Road ground. The full address is: Unit 2, Grenfell Island, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 1DY.

The Dons will be looking to get back on track after Saturday's heavy defeat at the hands of Reading. Admission prices will be £8 for adults, £4 concessions, and U18s will be allowed in free of charge. It should be an interesting return to Maidenhead for the Dons after a three-and-a-half year gap as the Blue Square South outfit are likely to have former AFC Wimbledon left-back Derek Duncan in their side. Derek signed from Woking during the summer and manager Johnson Hippolyte has also strengthened his squad by bringing Michael Pook back to the club from Forest Green.

AFC Wimbledon last visited York Road on 17 January, 2009, when the Dons won 4-0 during our Conference South title-winning season with a double from Jon Main and goals from Danny Kedwell and Sam Hatton.
