Charlie strutts his stuff

16 November 2012

Charlie talks about how his season has taken off

He told us "it's been a fantastic couple of weeks. Obviously coming on as a sub at York and getting the goal and then starting the other night. It's been a really good week for us.” We spoke to Charlie Strutton at training yesterday and he was delighted at how his season has taken off.

Echoing the comments of manager Neal Ardley, Charlie went on "all we are doing at the moment is taking each game as it comes. We've got Aldershot on Saturday and will be looking to get the three points.

"Everyone, especially Jack Midson, Byron Harrison and the management team have been a great help to me. Jack has experience. It's good playing along with both Jack and Byron and training with them and you learn a lot."

Looking back to Monday, Charlie added, "all I've been thinking about is scoring a goal down the Tempest End and I should have had another (against York in the replay), but we got the win in the end and it was fantastic."

The full video interview with Charlie Strutton is available on Dons Player and a youth feature with Jeremy Sauer is also now available.
