Loan signing on the Dons

Jonathan is relishing Wimbledon move

Jonathan Meades believes that linking up with Neal Ardley once again can reignite his career.

The left-back credits the Dons boss with a crucial part in his development when Neal was Academy Manager at Cardiff City and Meades hopes that an impressive loan spell at Wimbledon will make his club AFC Bournemouth sit up and take notice.

Speaking to WDON commentator Rob Cornell, Meades said: “I know the gaffer from my time at Cardiff, where I worked with him for three years. I have not been playing much at Bournemouth and he asked if I wanted to come here. I am delighted to work with him again. Neal has great knowledge and he really helped me to develop as a defender. He is also a great man manager and he has helped me a lot. Neal took me from the Under-16s, through the academy and then into the first-team squad. I have a lot to thank him for. I want to concentrate on the team here, hopefully put in some good performances, and get us up the table.”
