Plus update on Jolley loan deal

Neil Cox says there will be changes to the AFC Wimbledon line-up ahead of this Saturday’s important League 2 encounter with Aldershot Town at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

After the replay drama of the Dons 4-3 extra-time victory over York City in the FA Cup on Monday night, Neal Ardley will be looking to secure three vital points as the Dons look to pull away from the wrong end of the table with a victory over an Aldershot side led by former Wimbledon team-mate Dean Holdsworth.

The management team had to make a late change to the starting line-up for the game in front of the TV cameras with Luke Moore forced to pull out and Rashid Yussuff promoted from the bench, only to come off injured himself.

Speaking to Dons Player on Thursday afternoon, Neil said “We have got one or two concerns. I think those two are still going to be out which is going to be difficult, but obviously the loan players come back in. There’s places up for grabs; the manager wasn’t too pleased with the game the other night so people will be looking to take places and see what they can do to change the manager’s mind.

“We’ve two big games at home and we need to win our home games. We’ve had a hard week on the road, we’ve had a couple of indifferent performances but got a couple of good results.  We’ve just been working hard getting ready for Saturday’s game. We’ve had one or two sore legs after the replay, but we’ll see who is fit and available for Saturday.”
