Full-back on his time so far with the Dons

George Francomb has featured in all nine League 2 games since joining us at the end of August and he is determined to maintain his impressive form for the remainder of his loan spell with the Dons.

 

The 21-year-old’s loan spell from Norwich City was extended into a second month recently after several promising displays and the pacy right-back told Dons Player that he will keep battling away for as long as he is here.

 

“I have played every single game since I have been here so I am more than happy to stay and fight for the cause,” George said. “Aside from the result, it was probably one of the best performances since I have been here (on Saturday). We were creating chances, but things do not seem to be falling for us. We played some good stuff, especially in the second-half, and we were unlucky not to get anything in the end.

 

“We have Fleetwood next and they are an up and coming team doing really well. But we have done well in our last three away games and hopefully we can go there and get something.”

 

Of course, George hopes his performances can lead to a bright future for him at Carrow Road.
