Mad and Bad Weekend

23 October 2012

A superb double bill at Kingsmeadow Live

This Saturday starts an action-packed “Mad and Bad Weekend” at Kingsmeadow Live.

Madness tribute band “It Must Be Madness” take to the stage on Saturday night with their versions of hits including “One Step Beyond”, along with less well acclaimed B-side tracks from the famous act. Doors open at 8.00 pm with tickets on sale for just £10 and DJs will be playing through until 1.00 am.

Sunday is the second stage of our entertaining weekend double bill and it promises to be a lively night with Bad Manners, led by the incomparable Buster Bloodvessel, providing their unique music.

Buster Bloodvessel, his stage name taken from the bus conductor played by Ivor Cutler in the Beatles’ 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour, will be launching into a rendition of the band’s memorable hits, including “Lip Up Fatty”, “Loonee Tunes", and "Special Brew".

It is not often you will get to see a band such as Bad Manners in an intimate setting like Kingsmeadow Live and this is a unique opportunity for supporters of the 1980s ska revival band and music fans alike.

Doors open in the evening at 7.00 pm with tickets at £20. There is also the opportunity to get here early and make a day of it on Sunday as we will be showing both Premier League matches live on big screens. Everton take on Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at 1.30 pm, followed by Chelsea v Man United at 4.00 pm and DJs playing the best Ska music will take us through to the scheduled time for Bad Manners.
