A double from Emmanuel Akokhia, along with strikes from Oluyesi Daley and Harlan Basker, helped Wimbledon secure a morale-boosting victory.
Speaking to Dons Player, Mark Robinson, said: “It was a great win for us and I am really pleased. QPR won our league last year and they have a category one academy set-up with a lot of good facilities. Their Academy Manager Steve Gallen told me that they have 20 full-time staff. When we played them yesterday, 80 per cent of our players played in our Sunday League set-up before we became an Academy. We were fantastic yesterday and we thoroughly deserved the 4-1 victory, but we want this performance to become the benchmark for us.”
