Top scorer says his best is still to come
Byron Harrison believes he is ready to recapture his best form after a prolific start to the season.
The Dons may have had a tough start to the season, but Byron has had no problems hitting the back of the net with two goals already and the striker believes there is plenty more to come.
Speaking in a video interview for Dons Player, Byron told us that he is determined to make a success of his time at Wimbledon after a testing time since joining from Stevenage in January.
“It is great that I have finally started hitting the back of the net, but when it is not leading to points for the team, then it is hard to get excited about,” Byron said. “We know what happened last season, but I went away in the summer and made sure that I came back with a positive mindset and strong in body. I feel I was unlucky to get injured at the wrong time, but I got 90 minutes last week and I have been back in training now for a few weeks. I did really well at Stevenage and since I came here the fans have stuck with me despite a slow start. I just want to give my best for the club and contrary to speculation, I never wanted to leave.”
