Returning defender on his debut
Curtis Osano’s return after two months out through injury provided an unexpected lift for the Dons during yesterday’s 2-1 defeat by Accrington Stanley.
Our summer signing finally made his debut as a second-half substitute after being sidelined with an ankle injury and Curtis now hopes to help shore up our defence once he returns to full fitness.
Speaking to Dons Player, Curtis admitted he did not expect to be handed an opportunity so soon after he return to full training, but he is determined to build on his cameo appearance.
“I had a few injections on my ankle and that seemed to do the trick,” he said. “It is so far, so good for me, and I am ahead of schedule. I just need to get more training in and push myself for a place hopefully. We played good football again today and we are playing better than most of the teams we have been playing, but they can finish and we can’t. Accrington had two chances and scored two goals. We just need to get a settled back four with the right balance and then things may change.”
