Our Minithon event features on BBC Radio London
The AFC Wimbledon Minithon will this evening be featured on BBC Radio London with Sophie Hosking talking about her participation in Sunday’s event.
Sophie will be interviewed on the radio station’s Friday Football programme between 7.00pm and 8.00pm tonight with our gold medal winner expected to feature at 7.45pm.
Dons supporters, of course, have a chance to line-up alongside Sophie for the return of our Minithon event at Morden Park (11.00am start near the bandstand).
Our caretaker manager Simon Bassey is among the AFC Wimbledon team participating in the 5km event and he will be joined by Haydon the Womble, Jason Moriarty, Robin Bedford, Mike Rayner and Erik Samuelson.
Funds raised this year will be donated to St Raphael’s Hospice, Born Too Soon (Prem Baby Unit), along with ground safety improvements at AFC Wimbledon.
Just like our first staging of the AFC Wimbledon Minithon two years ago, entrants can walk, stroll or run and babies in buggies can even take part with their families.
