Interview with Terry
Terry Brown admitted that the Dons paid the price for a sloppy start to the second-half after today’s draw against Dagenham & Redbridge.
However, the Wimbledon boss was encouraged by his side’s first-half display, in particular with the performances of new loan signings George Francomb and Dale Bennett.
In a video interview with Dons Player, Terry said: “It was a fair result overall. I thought we deserved to be in front at half-time. I was really pleased with our first-half performance, Christian Jolley was back to his best and Byron Harrison did well. The two loan signings were great too. Dale had a nasty bang on his knee and I was looking to take him off because he was limping, but he would not come off and he is that kind of character. He is as tough as nails and at this moment in time we need that kind of centre-back. George looked a class above and was one of the best players on the pitch.
“In the second-half we came out a bit sloppy though and with the way Dagenham press, then you are forced back onto the edge of your own box. If you are not strong enough physically to win those battles and then to break with a bit of pace then you can come unstuck.”
