Terry talks about turning it around

Terry Brown confirmed in an interview for Dons Player this afternoon that Mat Mitchel-King will play in tomorrow’s development game against Sutton United.

The Dons skipper was back in full training today after returning from compassionate leave and the centre-back will play 45 minutes tomorrow. The match will also offer the likes of Luke Moore a chance to continue his drive towards full fitness and Brendan Kiernan will gain some more game-time after missing out at Northampton on Saturday.

Terry Brown is intent on creating an upbeat mood in the Wimbledon camp this week as he prepares the squad for Saturday’s visit of Rochdale.

“Another defeat on Saturday ruined the weekend for our fans and it certainly ruined my weekend,” said the boss. “I hope it was the same for the players and there would be something wrong if that was not the case. It is my job on the Monday to start picking them up. On the Monday we would normally bring them in and run through the DVDs of the goals conceded, but we are changing that a bit this week. We want to make it more upbeat and positive. We will put an attacking side out on Saturday and I want the momentum of the whole week to be positive. We will be watching DVDs of Rochdale and we want to take the game to them as we are at home. Our fans know that we are going through a difficult period and we need to turn the corner as a group. The supporters have done everything in the past to help us do that and I am sure they will on Saturday.”
