Marc, who still lives in Wimbledon, says Terry and Stuart were a credit to the club from day one after their appointments.
From day one, when I helped Matt Rickard put the appointment of Terry and Stuart live on the club website at the second it was announced to the press, through to their solemn walk from the Kingsmeadow turf, Terry and Stuart have been nothing short of sheer class. Affable, polite, humorous, the list would go on forever if you tried to cover all their attributes. He said: “
“I can think of no better tribute than saying what many feel, there are no other men I can imagine more fitting as gaffer and number two to have delivered our greatest prize so far since reforming.
Terry's penalty kick after the final whistle at Manchester will be remembered forever, as will their whole contribution to the club. May they never buy another beer in these parts ever again, after all I can't remember either doing so previously!”

“The Terry Brown and Stuart Cash era will remain memorable as an extra special time for me as it dovetailed with the final five years of my father's life. The two of us had become very close during those five years, and the rise (and rise) of The Dons played a pivotal role. A time of great fun and glorious memories, we managed to get to several matches together, and otherwise listened in via WDON from our respective locations.
“I recall my solo attendance at the ultimate resurrection game in Manchester in May 2011 as my dad had become just too ill to travel. “Regrets, I had a few but then again, too few to mention!”
“We all know the words and I think it sums up Terry and Stuart’s respective careers at AFC Wimbledon perfectly, as indeed do the words to the whole song. Although a latecomer to the ever increasing throng of Dons supporters, I’m thankful I had a chance to watch two legends of the club take the helm at Kingsmeadow. Things did not work out too well in the end, but then in football it so rarely does – especially for the manager. One minute you’re the hero, the next... I can’t bring myself to say it and I’d be very surprised if any Dons fan could after the last 5 years. That is why I don’t want to focus on the negatives, but celebrate instead the part these two men played in the AFCW story.
“What was their greatest moment? I think it’s pretty obvious! Getting promotion from the Blue Square Premier after only 2 seasons was an unbelievable achievement. Especially for a club only nine years old That league is so tough, with nearly every team a former football league member and only two places available for promotion. To this day, I still can’t quite believe it happened.
“But it did. And we have Terry Brown and Stuart Cash to thank for that. Yes, there are a lot of people to thank for the promotion, including the players of course - but it happened under their watch. For that they can be immensely proud. I think it speaks volumes that the fans are being given a chance to say goodbye to them, how many clubs would do that? Just another example of how special this club is!!!
