An event with a difference next Saturday
The club’s popular over-30s night aims to bring a touch of exotic Hawaiian entertainment to the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Saturday, 17 August.
Guests will be encouraged to dress in beach wear and take part in a limbo competition as part of a Hawaiian luau theme. A free tropical rum cocktail will be on offer to get guests in the mood for Kingsmeadow Live’s “Beach Party”.
There will be a beach cocktail bar on the night and new Bars Manager Mat Ansell will be hoping that one or two of his staff emerge as budding Tom Cruises at the event. Party goers who best capture the theme of the night can earn their reward by winning the Best Dressed Competition.
Jim Piddington, Commercial Executive at AFC Wimbledon, said: “It’s going to be a night to remember for sure because the music is always good at our events and the atmosphere too. They are a great crowd that come to the nights we run here and let’s hope the weather is good so it feels like a real beach party.”
There will be free entry on the night for anyone returning on the supporters’ coach after AFC Wimbledon have hopefully earned their first away win of the season at Exeter City.
Doors open at 8.00 pm and the party will go on until 1.00 am. Entry is free before 9.00 pm, but after this time it is £5 for members and £7 for non-members. There will be no admittance after 11.00 pm.
