will play a big part this season for Wimbledon and he believes that the young full-back has a bright future ahead of him.Jim Fenlonsays that Neal Ardley

Though the 19-year-old has yet to feature this season after making 22 first-team appearances during the last campaign, Neal Ardley has reassured Fenlon that he is a part of his plans.

, Neal said: “We have got new players in and we have been trying to keep a steady back four so that the players can get to know each other’s games. I thought that Jim did really well in pre-season after the last campaign when I think too much was asked of him. The back problems he had from January onwards were perhaps because too much was asked of him in a poor team up until that point.Dons PlayerSpeaking to

“I have no doubt that Jim will be a very good player and he may be an asset that the club will end up selling in the future. Hopefully, that day will be a little while away yet. Jim just needs to focus on the professional side of things off the pitch and learn to live this life for 15-20 years. He needs to do everything to be the best, but once he gets that mentality then Jim has frightening ability. He will be a big part of things this season and will play a lot of games for us.”

Neal Ardley’s full seven-minute interview appeared yesterday on Dons Player and our premium site today features Michael Smith on his time at AFC Wimbledon so far.
