Michael added that he is relishing the prospect of playing in front of Wimbledon’s fans again when Fleetwood visit the Cherry Red Records Stadium tomorrow.

“I went to the man of the match presentation after the Scunthorpe game and there are so many fans that stay on afterwards,” Michael said. “It is great that they speak to you and have time for you. It is a family-orientated club so I am really enjoying it. We have a good group of lads in the squad and the management and staff have been great with me.

“We had done a lot in the past two days on our shape and how we are going to approach the Fleetwood match. I think it will be a really hard test, but we are ready for it. If we can play like we did in the second-half against Scunthorpe then we will be fine.”
