Funeral for co-founder of Blue & Yellow Club
The funeral for long-term Dons supporter Martin Fielding will take place on Tuesday afternoon.
All supporters are welcome to attend the funeral for Martin, who was also secretary of the Blue and Yellow Club, a scheme that has raised valuable funds for AFC Wimbledon’s playing budget.
The cremation will be held at the Putney Vale Crematorium at 2.00 pm tomorrow. The crematorium is at one end of the cemetery, where there is adequate parking, and is just off the A3 (with access behind the ASDA superstore). The full postal address is as follows: Stag Lane, London, SW15 3DZ.
Flowers and memorial
Martin’s family is asking for family flowers only at the crematorium. Having discussed at length with many of Martin’s friends, family and colleagues, they have decided that rather than donate to a general charity in his name, they want to establish something more personal for him at AFC Wimbledon. As Martin loved AFC Wimbledon, they would like to create a permanent memorial that would be of practical use to the club at the ground. It will take the form of something that could also be moved to the new stadium if we move back home to Wimbledon.
