Striker now close to being in contention
Charlie Strutton is on schedule to make a first-team return in the London Senior Cup at Barking on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old striker, who has not played since the 1-1 draw at Barnet on 8 December due to a knee injury, has successfully come through two weeks of full training.
Simon Bassey confirmed: “Charlie has been back in full training and he is likely to play some part in the Barking match next Tuesday.”
The fourth round tie at Mayesbrook Park on Tuesday is a 7.45 pm kick-off and the Dons are set to feature several first-teamers against the Essex Senior League side.
