Striker among four first-teamers involved tonight
Charlie Strutton will be aiming to build-up his match fitness in tonight’s London Senior Cup fourth round tie at Barking.
The 23-year-old, who has been on the bench recently for the first-team after returning from two months out with a knee injury, will step-up his comeback at Mayesbrook Park. Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz, Jason Prior and Brendan Kiernan are the other three first-teamers in the squad for the tie.
With such a packed schedule of fixtures and Wimbledon having only played last night against Plymouth Argyle, manager Neal Ardley has decided to select a squad largely made up of players from Mark Robinson’s Under-18s.
That means the likes of Chace Jacquart, who scored in the Surrey Senior Cup tie against Horley Town last month, will have another run-out, along with the likes of Dan Pearse, Charlie Fayers and Matt Cunnington.
AFC Wimbledon squad: Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz, Jack Greenaway, Khan Williams-Mitchell, Duvaine Lindo, Matt Cunnington, Oluyesi Daley, Chace Jacquart, Dan Pearse, Tom Beere, Charlie Fayers, Greg Hayden, Harlen Basker, Charlie Strutton, Jason Prior, Brendan Kiernan.
Kick-off tonight against Essex League side Barking is at 7.45 pm (admission is £6 for adults and £3 for concessions). The Dons are also in cup action on Tuesday, 5 March, when they travel to Chipstead (7.45 pm kick-off).
