Pitch inspection leads to early decision
We can confirm that Wimbledon’s scheduled League 2 match at Accrington Stanley tomorrow has now been postponed.
Officials at the Lancashire club held a pitch inspection this morning, but the combination of sub-zero temperatures yesterday and snowfall today has pressed Accrington Stanley into making an early decision.
Accrington Stanley had put covers down on the pitch during the week in an effort to get the game on, but parts of the pitch were frozen this morning.
An announcement about when this match will be rescheduled will follow in due course.
