Wimbledon youngsters hit top form
AFC Wimbledon Under-18s resumed their league campaign with a bang yesterday by turning on the style against Portsmouth.
Tom Beere (pictured) put his injury problems this season firmly behind him with a double in a 3-1 home victory against Pompey and Harlen Basker was also on target.
It was a fine way for Mark Robinson’s side to get their season back up and running in the Football League Youth Alliance South East Division after not having a game since early December.
Academy Manager, Mark Robinson, said: “Portsmouth are a very good side, but during the first-half, in particular, we played some great stuff. I was really pleased with our performance and the first-half was the best that we had played all season.”
