Wimbledon boss eager to get game on

Neal Ardley is so determined to get tomorrow night’s Port Vale match on that he even picked up a shovel and helped clear the snow himself this morning.

The Wimbledon manager popped in at the Cherry Red Records Stadium to assist our hardworking volunteers in clearing the pitch.

However, Neal Ardley couldn’t stay too long as he is this afternoon putting the Dons players through their paces at first-team training.

And Wimbledon’s supporters can rest assured that the players will be fully prepared for action if the match against League 2 leaders Port Vale does go ahead.

“The effort put in by everyone to get the game on is what this club is all about,” Neal Ardley said. “But if the game does go ahead then we have to ensure that we put on a good performance for our supporters.”

It is not too late for supporters to turn up at the club today and help out if you have a spare hour or two later on. Though the club does have some tools, if volunteers can bring wheelbarrows or shovels then that will be appreciated. The club is providing refreshments and food, including soup, for volunteers.
