Wimbledon to wear new kit on Saturday
AFC Wimbledon will tomorrow wear the club’s brand new third kit for FC United’s visit to the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
While this match will offer a first opportunity for many Dons fans to watch Neal Ardley’s much-changed squad, the personnel is not the only thing to have a fresh look with a new white kit being paraded for the first time and a pitch that our groundsmen can be proud of.
The all-white kit, complete with blue stripes and large crest on the side, was chosen by Dons supporters in a vote held towards the end of the 2012/13 season. Our kit manufacturers Tempest have spent the summer producing the final product, which was first made available to expectant fans at last Thursday’s Meet the Manager event (new signing George Francomb is pictured above in the kit).
Those who wish to get hold of the new kit for themselves can visit our club shop, which opens from 12 noon on Saturday and will have a full range of sizes available for visitors to peruse. With sweltering heat forecasted to hit South West London this weekend we will ensure our bars are well stocked with refreshments to keep your temperatures under control!
