Spot the next Jim Fenlon

Assist the academy as a Volunteer Talent ID Scout

If you can help shape AFC Wimbledon’s future by spotting the next Jim Fenlon, then the club’s academy would love to hear from you.

We are looking for Volunteer Talent ID Scouts, who will have responsibility for unearthing hidden gems in local leagues that may be capable of following in the footsteps of Jim (pictured), who made 21 first-team appearances last season.

We are forming a team of scouts to help the academy staff identify and recruit the best young players in the area and add to the quality of our youth squads. The Academy wants to develop its recruitment department and this offers you a chance to make a difference.

Applicants are required to have some previous experience working with children, preferably football coaching (FA Level 1 Certificate), and should be available to attend specified local league matches on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings. All Talent ID scouts will need to have a valid CRB check – this can be obtained through the club. Successful applicants will be issued with some club kit and our Talent ID policy and a code of conduct to be signed off.
