.Mark Robinsoncontinued his prolific pre-season at Sheerwater on Saturday - and his goalscoring exploits have certainly not surprised Academy Manager Tom Beere
The 18-year-old (pictured above) has impressed for the first-team during pre-season and Beere was on target once again with a cracking strike to help the Under-18s to a 4-2 win against Sheerwater’s senior team.
Mark Robinson was happy to watch Beere deliver once again and he was pleased with his young side’s overall performance.
, Mark said: “I told Tom before the game not to be scared to let fly. Tom has a tremendous shot on him with both feet, and it was good to see him score again. I thought some of our movement was excellent today and there were lots of positives to take from it.Dons PlayerSpeaking to Rob Cornell on
“For the first 25 minutes we passed the ball really well, but the two goals we conceded were a little bit disappointing. They are not Under-14s anymore and they have to recognise when to play their football. But most of the Under-18s are first-years and overall they acquitted themselves well against a senior team. The only other disappointing aspect was that the young lads were a bit too quiet and when Sheerwater scored their first goal they looked a bit overawed, apart from Dan Pearse in midfield. We are moving in the right direction though and we are much better than we were two weeks ago.”
