More of your favourite holiday pictures
More holiday photographs of Dons supporters flying the flag around the globe have continued to flood into us at the official website.
They most certainly do justice to a “Dons on Tour” special with featured pictures including Ken Matthews (above) at popular San Francisco tourist destination Pier 39 and the gallery also shows Derek Goodhew at Everest Base Camp and with his wife Susan in Nepal.
Dons fan David Lancaster also e-mailed in with pictures and details from his family trip to the NASA space station in Cape Canaveral, Florida. One of those pictures shows David, son Matthew and daughter Emma with an “astronaut” and the other shows his two children with a real astronaut by the name of Rick Searfoss.
“Rick, who is a veteran of three space missions, was interested in our ‘uniforms’. I told him all about Wimbledon’s history and explained that one day he might find himself appearing in a programme or website sometime!” David said:
Also included in our gallery is Dons fan Dave Hambly, who is pictured on a big screen at the Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium in Wimbledon colours, after he was selected as a guest of honour for the City of Burbank Dodgers Night.
