New players wanted for next season

AFC Wimbledon Ladies are aiming to build on last season’s encouraging campaign by recruiting new players during the close season.

If you have played to a good standard and want to join a club aiming to push on to greater heights during 2013/14, then it would definitely be worth attending pre-season training and trials this Thursday.

AFC Wimbledon Ladies, who play in the Premier League of the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League (step 4/5), had an improved season in 2012/13 and reached the first round proper of the FA Women’s Cup.

They have retained several key players for next season, including goalkeeper Damaris Ott (pictured above), who was Player of the Year last season, and manager Tony Milstead is hoping to recruit new talent to boost the squad further.
