George, who was handed the number 24 during his loan spell with Wimbledon last season, told the official website earlier today that he can’t wait to get started again in a Dons shirt.
The 21-year-old first joined Wimbledon on August 31, 2012, and he was immediately handed a home debut in the 2-2 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge by then manager Terry Brown.

“Last night I got the call from Chris Hughton at Norwich and he told me that Wimbledon were interested,” George said. “Straight away I got my bags packed and got on the road. I cannot wait to make my debut and I just want to play first-team football. I had a few months on loan at Barnet and I know that Wimbledon get bigger crowds here so I am looking forward to it.”
George’s debut came on the same day that Olympic gold medal winner Sophie Hosking was presented to the Wimbledon crowd. The midfielder went onto make 16 AFC Wimbledon appearances and above is a selection of photographs from George’s first spell at the club.
