Another selection of your memorable snaps
Wimbledon’s 2012/13 campaign ended over six weeks ago, but supporters have continued to send in their favourite photographs of the season.
Following a request from the official website, your best pictures unsurprisingly involved those key matches of the season at Milton Keynes, Gillingham and, of course, that final match of the campaign against Fleetwood Town.
Dons fans are pictured above getting behind their team from the Tempest End and there are a wide variety of photographs in our picture gallery.
One of those pictures shows Haydon the Womble getting ready for a rather important FA Cup match in early December. Vic Abbott sent the photograph into us with the following message: “Haydon doing his pre-flight checks ready for a certain mission over Buckinghamshire.”
Also included in our selection is a picture from the away end at Gillingham after Wimbledon’s memorable comeback at Priestfield Stadium (taken by Sam Sean Fellows) and Sammy Moore about to take an important free-kick on the final day of the season (picture by Angela Widdup).
Cormac Van Der Hoeven sent in a rather unusual picture taken on the way to Wimbledon’s match at Barnet with Dons fans having picked up several tasty treats for the journey. Cormac’s message said: “I wouldn’t dream of attending the Northern Line Derby without a middle class spread”.
