Jack and Kelly on Aldershot

Jack ...... 'it's not done yet'

AFC Wimbledon’s top scorer Jack Midson is looking to add to his total at Aldershot tomorrow in a crucial League Two meeting for both sides at the EBB Stadium.

The Dons centre forward scored a superb, bullet-like header in the impressive 3-1 victory at Roots Hall against Southend, one of his former clubs, on Tuesday night.

“That win the other day against Southend made the table look a lot healthier and a lot prettier, but it’s not done yet we’ve got a long way to go. We want to increase our ground on Aldershot and don’t want them gaining on us and we’re still near the bottom of the table, where we don’t want to be so the only way to sort that out is to win and get away from the teams around us, such as Aldershot and Accrington.” Jack is very aware that the Dons still have work to do, as he told Dons Player earlier today in an interview at our New Malden training ground

Jack hopes Dons fans turn out in force again tomorrow and added “The support at Dagenham was amazing and that spurred us on to a good win there and hopefully they’ll do it again on Saturday. I remember last year at Aldershot one side of that stand was packed and it was great noise so hopefully they’ll do the same again.”

The Dons new defender Kelly Youga also took time out to speak to Dons Player in the build-up to Saturday’s important league encounter.

The Central African Republic international has linked up again with John Sullivan, Harry Pell and Rashid Yussuff, who he remembers well from his long stay with Charlton Athletic.

Kelly admitted his amazement at where Wimbledon were in League Two when he arrived “Wimbledon is not a team that should be where they are at the bottom of the league with the quality they have. I don’t know about earlier in the season, but I think we are capable of winning every game until the end of the season. We showed the quality we have against Southend and have enough ability to turn things around.

“I’m always positive, I’m a positive guy, let’s do things properly. We need to play with a smile and enjoy,” Youga added.

Dons Player subscribers can now view the full videos interviews with Jack Midson and Kelly Youga and tomorrow can listen to live WDON coverage of the game against Aldershot from 3.00 pm.
