Blues officials "confident" about beating the elements
Southend officials are confident that tonight’s match against the Dons will go ahead after supporters helped to clear the Roots Hall pitch.
No pitch inspection is planned at this stage with the pitch now having been cleared of snow (as the picture above shows). An update on the Southend United FC Twitter page said: “Thanks to the tremendous efforts of the supporters who have come down we are confident that tonight’s game will go ahead as planned.”
