New physio wanted

An exciting opportunity at AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon wishes to recruit a senior physiotherapist who will be responsible for providing a first class physiotherapy and injury prevention service to the first team squad.

The main remit of this post will be to provide and co-ordinate the physiotherapy service to the club’s first team squad and will involve the provision of appropriate injury management, rehabilitation and injury prevention as well as pitch side/advanced trauma care.

The successful candidate will report directly to the first team manager and work with our established team of club doctors to develop of a medical department that is viewed as a centre of excellence in injury prevention and management.

This role will also incorporate overseeing the club’s sports science department and providing guidance and support to the club’s Academy physiotherapist

This post will involve unsocial hours, including weekend work and will involve travelling with the squad.

Candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:

• a sound musculoskeletal and orthopaedic background

• membership of the CSP and be HPC registered

• at least five years’ post graduate experience in a professional football role

• a current Sports Trauma Management qualification

A post- graduate qualification would be advantageous.

Salary will be commensurate with these qualifications and experience.
