The run to Wembley tonight

14 May 2013

Bonus material at FA Cup event

There is extra incentive to arrive at the club early for tonight’s FA Cup anniversary celebrations because we will be showing highlights of the road to Wembley from 1988.

The main event will be a re-run of the full 90 minutes of Wimbledon FA Cup win in the middle bar (7.30pm start) with Bobby Gould providing the commentary.

However, supporters that get here early will be able to get in the mood by watching Wimbledon’s run to that historic final on 14 May, 1988.

The matches we will be showing highlights of are as follows:

Newcastle v Wimbledon (5th round)

Wimbledon v Watford (6th round)

Luton Town v Wimbledon (Semi-final)

This will start at 6.00 pm (bars open at 5.30 pm) build-up on the day of the FA Cup Final from 1988 will be featured before the full match is shown.

Due to the numbers of advance sales, the re-run of Wimbledon’s 1-0 win against Liverpool will be shown in the middle bar at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. If we reach capacity on the night we will use the back bar as an overflow to ensure that all supporters are able to see the match again and listen to Bobby Gould’s commentary.

Those who have made advance bookings (£3 per ticket) will receive a ticket as they enter the middle bar, which they can take to the bar to be used as a drinks voucher.

FA Cup glorySupporters can still buy their tickets up until 4:30pm today by clicking on

Tickets will be available on the night, but we recommend that supporters buy in advance.
