Pictures of AFC Wimbledon supporters of all ages
They are certainly too young to remember when AFC Wimbledon was formed over a decade ago, but our picture above shows exactly what Saturday’s dramatic survival meant to the club’s next generation.
The official website’s request for your photographs of the season resulted in a fantastic response and this image of Wimbledon’s Under-8s celebrating capped a brilliant day for our young footballers after they were presented to the crowd at half-time for joining the club’s academy.
Our gallery of photographs can be viewed featuring the link above and the selection features both young and old Wimbledon supporters during the course of a testing 2012/13.
They include a picture of two-year-old Tom Andrews asleep next to his teddy and clearly exhausted after Wimbledon’s Great Escape! The gallery also shows young Phoebe Mappley pictured on the pitch when it was a lot less hectic before the game and Nora, a Wimbledon-supporting dog. Wimbledon supporters also featured include young Kane Stone wearing his commemorative Wembley 1988 Dons shirt with pride during the match at Gillingham.
