YouTube site relaunched

Channel offers news, features and match highlights

We have this week relaunched our official YouTube channel with the aim of providing up to date news and features about AFC Wimbledon via video.

YouTube has this season become the official platform for Football League clubs to reach a global audience after an agreement with FLi (Football League Interactive). This is a complementary communication tool for supporters to access, along with Dons Player and the official website.

Our premium Dons Player service will remain the only place to access WDON commentary of every League 2 match, extended highlights, and in-depth interviews with Wimbledon first-team players and staff. We are also endeavouring to bring Dons Player subscribers 90-minute action of games on a regular basis and the full Accrington match is now available on our premium service with WDON match commentary. We wish to thank WDON commentator Geoff Hawley for his help in this production process.

to access this site.YouTubeWe have already uploaded a selection of interviews to our YouTube site, which includes the thoughts of Neal Ardley on his year in charge at the club, a feature on the academy’s new goalkeeping centre and a vox-pop with Wimbledon supporters on a potential move back to Plough Lane. We have also retained match highlights from previous seasons, which include the glory days of AFC Wimbledon’s rise through non league. Click on

During the rest of this season, YouTube will feature brief match highlights (around 2 minutes), short interviews, and general news about AFC Wimbledon, focusing on the youth and community aspect of the club.

While the club will make money from the official YouTube site due to web traffic and advertising, we recognise that this channel will make video material more accessible to all Wimbledon supporters around the world.

Dons Player will continue to be the exclusive destination for the following:

-Live match audio commentary

-Extended match highlights of over 2min 30secs

-Extended player and manager interviews of over 1min 30secs

The club currently has almost 800 subscribers to Dons Player and we will strive to produce exclusive content for this premium service, including extended match highlights, and in-depth interviews.
