Neal hails Arthur's impact

Post-match reaction from the Wimbledon manager

after his second-half introduction transformed Wimbledon’s performance against Burton Albion.Chris Arthursays there is much more to come from Neal Ardley

Arthur has been eased into League 2 football after his summer move from Havant & Waterlooville, but his display suggested that he is now finding his feet at the higher level.

, Neal Ardley said: “I am pretty sure that there would have been a few raised eyebrows among our supporters when we signed him. He was our first signing of the summer and people may have been wondering where we were going with it as he came from two leagues below. But they can see a player with so much potential. I am still looking after him though and developing him. The staff are working hard on him and there will come a time when we decide to unleash him.”Dons PlayerSpeaking to

AFC Wimbledon have lost just once in League 2 at home during 2013 and Neal Ardley believes that teams now have to work very hard to get anything at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

“We have got good players and their mentality is very attack-minded at home,” Neal added. “It is a tough place for teams to come to and teams have to work hard to earn something. We have lost just once in 2013 and even that one was a game when we wondered how we did not get anything out of it. If you take that Barnet game out of the equation then we have lost just once this year.

“The first-half today was like a training ground match. We had to lift the fans because there had been not enough tempo, but we raised it in the second-half. We slightly changed our shape and we got people in better positions. After the sending-off and their goal we lost all our momentum, but we had a few words at half-time and put the substitutions on. Even then you cannot guarantee it will change as you need the players to do it, but I thought they were excellent in the second-half.”
