You Tube highlights of U-18s match ahead of Luton test

Mark Robinson has urged his side to play without fear when they take on one of the best sides in the Football League Youth Alliance South East Division tomorrow.

Opponents Luton Town are vying to win the league this season, but AFC Wimbledon Under-18s are on the crest of a wave after two successive wins yielded nine goals and just one conceded.

But it’s likely to be tougher tomorrow against a Luton side flying high this season and Academy Head Coach Mark Robinson has called on his team to rise to the challenge.

“It was a good performance last weekend and we carried out a lot of our learning objectives,” said Mark. “For example, we managed to keep possession from throw-ins at all times. Facing Luton tomorrow will be a tough test because they can still win our league and over the years they have built-up an excellent reputation as an academy. Therefore I will be looking for the boys to show the same positives in possibly a more pressured environment.

“They know I want them to play without fear. I don’t put any pressure on them in that respect as long as they give me the physical and mental attributes I expect of a young AFC Wimbledon player.”
