Join Blue & Yellow Club

4 August 2014

Members enjoy unique benefits

The Blue and Yellow Club has helped raise funds to improve Wimbledon’s playing squad since its formation and new members are welcome to join for 2014/15.

Since it was launched two years ago by the late Martin Fielding and AFC Wimbledon Vice President Iain McNay, the club has gone from strength to strength with £56,000 being donated directly to the playing budget.

One of the highlights for members is that they get to attend a dinner with the management team twice a season. There are plenty of other benefits too, including access to the President’s Lounge on match days, and an invite to the training ground for an inside track on Neal Ardley’s training methods.

There are two ways to join, either as a ‘Blue’ member or a ‘Yellow’ member. The former works best for those who attend matches regularly and the latter for those who are only able to make the occasional game.

Chief Executive Erik Samuelson said: “This is a terrific initiative and it raises much-needed funds for the team. I must thank Iain McNay for continuing the great work following the sad loss of joint founder Martin Fielding earlier this year.

“I have attended many of the meetings. Members get the joint benefit of raising funds for AFC Wimbledon and enjoying the events that come with it. I would recommend it to anyone.”

The idea is to give members unique benefits that have low direct costs to the football club, therefore ensuring that membership fees are available as far as possible for the playing budget. Membership is £1,000 per year.
