Live TV footy in the bars

21 August 2014

Enjoy a drink at the club this Saturday

Dons supporters can watch a Premier League double bill on TV screens in the club bars on Saturday with a wide selection of drinks available before and after the Hartlepool match.

The bars will be open from 12 noon in time to watch Aston Villa v Newcastle (12.45 pm kick-off on BT Sport) and the early evening Sky Sports match between Everton and Arsenal will be live at 5.30 pm.

A variety of ales will be on offer on Saturday with London Pride, Upham and Sprinter 3.8 per cent in the middle bar, and Hogsback and Hop Garden Gold 4.4 per cent in the back bar.

The club wishes to apologise to supporters for longer than normal waiting times at the first home game of the season against Shrewsbury.

Bars Manager Mat Ansell explained that it was a record-breaking game with more pints per person sold than at any other match the club has had in recent times. With major behind the scenes problems and a lot of the more experienced bar staff on holiday, this unfortunately caused very frustrating waiting times.

Mat added that the bars will be well staffed on Saturday and he hopes normal service will be resumed.

The Everton versus Arsenal match will be shown live after the Man of the Match presentation. The back bar will close at 6.00 pm to prepare for an evening function, but the Presidents Lounge and Middle Bar will be open indefinitely.
