Dons manager on boosting his squad
Neal Ardley says he will not be rushed into making a signing before Monday’s transfer deadline.
The Wimbledon manager has earmarked one more addition for his AFC Wimbledon squad, but he is prepared to wait until the loan window reopens on 8 September.
Speaking to Rob Cornell during an interview for Dons Player, Neal Ardley said: “I think we could do with bringing another player in. We’ve had a look and it could end up being a loan player because with the money we’ve got a permanent signing would not bring the quality that we want. We are certainly looking at attacking areas and we have a couple on our list.
“We are going to watch some games this week, but if we cannot get it done by Monday then we will not rush it. It would therefore be a week later when we would be looking to do something. We feel that it would massively add to the squad.”
