Though Ronnie Henry (Stevenage) and Andre Gray (Brentford) decided to move on, there’s a feel-good factor among Luton fans after manager John Still’s summer additions. Luke Wilkinson, who previously played for Still at Dagenham & Redbridge, will help compensate for the loss of Henry and the permanent signing of Paul Benson is a key addition up front. The ex-Swindon Town striker banged in the goals while on loan at Luton and his record suggests he’ll score goals in League 2.

Still, of course, has been in a similar situation before. The experienced manager took Dagenham & Redbridge into the Football League and then up to the heady heights of League 1. It remains to be seen whether Still will repeat that immediately at Luton, but everything appears to be in place for the club to build on finally getting back to the Football League.
