Dons Ladies maintain their challenge

AFC Wimbledon Ladies ended 2014 on a high by moving up to second spot in the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier Division.

A 3-0 win at home to Aylesford Ladies on Sunday ensured that the Dons Ladies are well placed heading into the Christmas break with only Fulham Foundation FC currently ahead of them in the table.

Captain Jess Trimnell struck her first goal since joining in the summer and Caz Bisson and Kelly Jade-Whelan were also on target. There was also an impressive cameo from Linsey Clarke (pictured) as her substitute performance earned the player of the match award from the opposition.
