Vacancy to assist at training and matches
The AFC Wimbledon Academy is continuing to develop as a renowned training centre for young footballers to flourish and a new vacancy has arisen for a therapist.
Academy Therapist will need to be flexible and available during these periods. To fit in with the academy’s philosophy of producing “home-grown and hungry” talent, the role includes providing pitch side first aid, and assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for injured players at training and matches. The majority of these sessions will be weekend and evenings so the
Applicants will need to have a valid CRB check / DBS, but this can be obtained through the club. Applicants are required to have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy or Sports Rehabilitation as well as a first aid qualification. A pitch side trauma qualification is favourable.
The successful applicant will need to be professional, show ability to work within the medical team, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.
This is a paid role. The therapist will be paid on a per-session basis, details available on request.
