Captain salutes winger's impact

Captain Alan Bennett hailed the contribution of winger Kevin Sainte-Luce after his impressive substitute appearance helped Wimbledon edge out Exeter City yesterday.

, Bennett said: “We see what Kevin can do every day in training. He trains at 100 per cent and he has shown what he can do today. He put in a good ball for Jack’s goal and I think he beat about 15 players on one occasion! When Kevin goes on his mazy runs it takes pressure off the defence. He is brilliant to watch, the fans love him, and we are delighted that Kevin is in our squad.”Dons PlayerSpeaking to Rob Cornell on

Having brought him through the ranks at Cardiff City, Neal Ardley knows exactly what Sainte-Luce is capable of producing, but he says that Wimbledon’s coaching staff are working hard on improving certain parts of his game.

“Kevin did exceptionally well when he came on for us,” said Neal. “He is that sort of player who can be a nightmare for defenders when the game becomes a bit stretched. I know what he’s capable of, but it’s the discipline and the other side of the game that we’re trying to work on. Kevin played a major part today and I am chuffed with him.”
