A focus on Wimbledon's opponents as part of FL campaign
The Football League is running a “Wall of Colour” campaign to build-up towards the start of 2014/15 and as part of this we will be counting down to Saturday, 9 August, by featuring all of Wimbledon’s opponents next season.
AFC Wimbledon will be encouraging fans to wear their scarves, shirts, rosettes, hats, and anything else in blue and yellow to help the Dons to victory against Shrewsbury. As part of the campaign, we aim to run an event on the opening day of the season.
The first club to feature in our countdown is Exeter City as we work through Wimbledon’s fixture list in reverse order.

Manager Paul Tisdale (pictured) is preparing for a ninth season in charge, but his plans for 2014/15 have been restricted after Exeter City were placed under a transfer embargo for taking out a loan from the Professional Footballers’ Association. Tisdale is the longest serving manager in the Football League and will need all of his years of experience to make Exeter a force once again in League 2. Experienced goalkeeper Artur Krysiak was a trusty number one for many years at St James’ Park, but he departed at the end of last season and Exeter are likely to once again put their faith in youth to bolster their squad. Ollie Watkins stepped up from the academy to play first-team football last season and Matt Jay, Connor Riley-Lowe and Jason Pope have also signed professional contracts after coming through the ranks.
