Volunteers get season tickets ready for the big kick-off
It’s now just nine days until 2014/15 gets underway and a dedicated team of volunteers have been putting together season ticket booklets for supporters.
Dons ST holders should receive their tickets early next week as we reach that time of year when excitement grows for the new season ahead.
Volunteers (pictured above) have been arranging season ticket booklets at the Cherry Red Records Stadium today and getting them ready for posting out.
Mike Berry, who carries out a vital role at the club by auditing season ticket payments from supporters, is pivotal to this process.
“The help I get is fantastic,” said Mike. “It’s a tight little team and they have been coming in every year for as long I’ve been doing this. They come in for two or three days and work through the process. We are basically putting all the season tickets in their wallets and matching the inserts, which will tell everyone where they will sit or stand. We put these in with a letter from Erik Samuelson welcoming everybody for the new season.
“I’ve been working on season tickets now for seven years. I also process all the direct debits on a monthly basis as well. We’ve now got 900 supporters out of 2,500 season ticket holders who pay in this way. It’s all a lot of work to get through in a few months and I thank those volunteers who have helped out.”
The club is very grateful to volunteers and their hard work will ensure that all season tickets are posted out today and tomorrow.
